“A special 1st birthday for my four-legged ‘little girl’”

It may be unusual for some to throw a birthday party for their dog, but I have an intrinsic desire to celebrate the ones I love. My dog, Willow, is my family. My little girl, my spirited companion who brings offbeat joy, unbreakable loyalty and big-hearted meaning to each of my days. She sprinkles magic dust in my world and reveals something about me that no human can. With her musty unperfumed scent, she smells like home, changing my mood and lifting my spirits with a simple droopy-eyed look or an exuberant nuzzle. For her special day, we delivered lashings of doggy treats and toys with swathes of orange and pink decor reflecting my adoration of her ginger spirit. I hope she felt wonderful and loved, the way she makes me feel. Happy 1st birthday to my Willow.
