“Honouring culture, time and place with custom-designed wedding florals”
I adore how weddings turn our emotions into a personal symphony playing a timeless opus of all it means to love and be loved. When my friend Katrina married Martin in his native Sweden, it was a breathtaking occasion. Soon after, they continued their special celebrations with a second wedding in Kat’s hometown of Sydney. I was thrilled to design their wedding flowers, tenderly mixing oriental touches with English garden blooms to honour Kat’s heritage of Chinese Malaysian parents, who’ve lived in the UK yet found their forever home in Australia. The bouquets, hair pieces, cake topper and buttonholes, made from flowers I handpicked from the markets, showed a beautiful juxtaposition of lovingly created florals designed as a nostalgic nod to their past, and a joyful tribute to the brightness of their future.
